360 ECO is working with Surrey University to commercialise Depreen™ – a natural broad spectrum anti-microbial which offers a wide variety of use opportunities including food packaging:
Delays spoilage of fresh produce, extends shelf life and reduces waste
Inhibits pathogenic bacteria including Campylobacter sp. which can contaminate external packaging surfaces.
Depreen™ is a patented naturally-occurring material that includes an essential oil, but has an antimicrobial effect up to 1000-fold greater than essential oils alone. An intellectual property portfolio is available for licensing in Europe, USA, Japan and China.
